Sports

The ever-popular sports and play area was back for Irish Aid's Africa Day Limerick event in 2010.

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) hosted numerous activities in the Sports and Play section from 12noon until 1.30pm at the event.  These included mini-matches and skills-based challenges, where eager children could hone their football skills.

The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) was on hand from 1.45pm to 3.15pm to host hurling workshops and mini-competitions in the grounds of Limerick City Hall.

Munster Rugby, meanwhile, offered rugby skills demonstrations and information about one of Limerick's most popular sports!  Representatives from Munster Rugby were present at Africa Day Limerick from 3.30pm to 4.45pm.
